The hotel rooms were spacious but let down by some maintenance issues and neglect from the staff. The service was very helpful and polite, although a bit distant at times. The location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions but not ideal for easy access to a local drink. The dining experience was positive with prompt service and delicious food. The facilities were generally good, with some improvements needed.

The rooms were big but had stains on walls and needed freshening up. Maintenance issues like a broken sink and difficult shower were present.

The service provided was attentive and helpful, particularly with allergy concerns, though some staff members were a bit distant at times.

The hotel was situated in an area with open grounds, making it easy to explore attractions like Stow and Bourton on the Water. However, not ideal if you want a local drink without driving.

Facilities
The hotel offered some good facilities, but improvements are needed in maintenance and attention to detail.

7.0/10

The hotel had a non-functioning heating system for the first two days of our stay, making the rooms like a sauna and a bit outdated. Despite the initial inconvenience, I would highly recommend this hotel for future guests.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were like a sauna due to the non-functioning heating system at the beginning of our stay, and they felt a bit outdated. However, the overall experience was still enjoyable.
Service
6.0
The staff kept bringing food but often left empty-handed, resulting in used crockery piling up. Despite this, they were friendly and patient, making an effort to ensure our comfort, though a couple more staff members would have made a difference.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location catered well to a vegan diet and had lovely grounds, offering easy access to Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold nearby. However, moisture was visible in many parts of the walls and ceilings.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was a mix of good and disappointing elements. While there was a variety in the buffet, the hygienic standards left something to be desired. However, the cooked-to-order full English breakfast was delicious and good value.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered basic facilities with a buffet dining setup. Although there were some hygiene concerns with communal cereal bowls, the overall value was decent.

The hotel was grand and lovely, but the rooms were uncomfortably hot, making sleep difficult regardless of opening windows. The staff were friendly and informative, but some were unhelpful and disinterested. The location had beautiful surroundings but was marred by rudeness from one staff member and unreliable Wi-Fi. Dining was enjoyable, especially the warm bread. Overall, not a great experience due to the room issues and service inconsistencies.
